Yogi Sidharth Ji

Hatha Yoga, Biomechanics

As the founder of Maharishi yoga Peeth Sidharth strives to spread the learnings he has gathered through his yogic lifestyle over the years with the world. His spiritual journey started in the early 2000s, when he took a trip to rishikesh , a holy destination in India, and interacted with an inspirational swami ji who changed his perspective towards life. That meeting inspired him to pursue yoga as a way of life, as opposed to a practice done once in a while.

  • Sidharth completed his PHD in yoga and 500 hours of Certified Yoga Teacher Training from Shiva Yoga Peeth, licensed by Yoga Alliance, USA, he became a teacher and administrator at the institute.

He has taught more than ten thousand students from across the globe over the past 14 years.

He is also an Ashtanga Yoga Educator, as authorized by the institution in Mysore, South India. Over time, Sidharth perfected his understanding of Hatha yoga, which comprises Sivananda, Iyengar, Ashtanga and meditation techniques such as Vipassana and Ancient Sound Healing. He assimilated the benefits that each of them bring to a practitioner – from willpower and patience to self-awareness and confidence, and then set out to become a traditional Hatha yoga instructor in the Yoga capital of the world – Rishikesh. To quote him ‘Your body is like a tree, and yoga is the seed that helps you grow and stay connected to your roots.

  • If you give your all you will leave with a new outlook on life!

If you are looking for a program to deepen your own yoga practice, learn how to effectively teach yoga, and change your life, I implore you to choose Maharishi Yoga Peeth! The teachers, staff, and management are all incredible. Every single meal is in the top 10 meals I’ve ever had. I appreciated how comprehensive and authentic the courses are - in the 200hr YTT we had classes in two types of asana practice, including how to align others, philosophy, meditation, sanskrit mantras, and breath work. And you get to practice teaching all of them. The rooms are very spacious and clean and I would have monkeys on my balcony all the time. Also being situated a 3min walk from the banks of the Ganga River is very important for the spiritual aspect of yoga. Thank you Kishan, thank you Ganesh, thank you Dip, thank you Neeraj and Rekha and Megha and Sidhartha and Devraj and Phurpa. If you give your all you will leave with a new outlook on life!

  • No amount of words can express my gratitude for what I have gained from my experience

Maharishi Yoga Peeth exceeded my expectations in all areas. The teachers knew what they were talking about. Their style of teaching reflected their own personal asana practice. Siddhartha is an amazing, down to earth person and an excellent astanga teacher. He inspired me to practice everyday and I can proudly say I have maintained a regular practice since I finished my course in Dec 2019. In fact I just completed a challenge of practising 1 hour daily for 365 days on January 5th. Thank you Siddhartha. I felt confident after my YTT and have been teaching here in Australia since I graduated on 2019.

No amount of words can express my gratitude for what I have gained from my experience at Maharishi Yoga Peeth.
